Course: Music Production Techniques

The courses involves the study of the tools used by composers, producers, musicians, and sound engineers to make music and audio productions.

During the courses the students will analyze the equipment and techinques used in the world of audio and music production in the last 60 years, starting from the analog devices up to the Digital Audio Workstations.

Moreover, the attendants will go through the production process of a music track, from composition to mastering, going through recording, overdubbing, and mixing, analyzing the differents aspects of the various music production stages and the different choices made by the producers.

The course duration is 12 week, 1 lesson of 2 hours each week.

Course: Digital Audio and Digital Audio Workstations

This course focuses on Digital Audio and Digital Audio Workstation (D.A.W.), analysing strengths and weaknesses of both Analog and Digital equipment.

The study will go deep inside the audio and midi tools offered by the D.A.W., analyzing the pro and cons of the techniques used when performing different tasks trying to achieve different goals.

During the lessons different studios configuration will be analyzed:

  • Music Composition for Visual Media vs Songwriting
  • Music Tracking
  • Music Production
  • Music Mixing
  • Music (pre) Mastering

Each situation will be analyzed and the students will be guided through a convenient approach.

Strengths and weaknesses of the different DAWs are duscussed, with analyisis of real world examples.

The course duration is 6 week, 1 lesson of 2 hours each week.

Course: Mixing Audio

This course is structured in 4 parts:

  • Part one: The students will analyze the equipment used in the world of audio and music production in the last 60 years, starting from the analog devices up to the Digital Audio Workstations.
  • Part  two: The students will learn how to operate on the most important devices used during the mixing process
  • Part three: The students will learn the different mixing techinques, and a more specific study of the most important devices used during the mixing process will be done
  • Part four: The students wil be guided through the mixing of differents songs

Moreover, the attendants will also be given multi-track sessions of songs in their raw state, on which to learn how to use the tools necessary to mix them.

During the lessons the students can use his notebbok with his DAW, to perform the exercise, otherwise a notebook with a DAW will be given

The student must have a Digtal Audio Workstation to perform the homeworks assigned each week. If the student don't have a DAW will be guided through the purchase of Cockos Reaper discounted license ($ 60,00)

The course duration is 12 week, 1 lesson of 2 hours each week.

Course: Waves Certification Program

The Waves Certification Program is used at recording institutes, colleges, and universities throughout the world to teach the fundamentals of Waves plugins. Once you have completed the required coursework at a Waves-accredited academic institution, take the final examination online so to receive the Official certification.

With the Waves Certification Program the students not only learn to operate on these tools and receive the certification, but they will become owners of those tools.

Moreover, the attendants will also be given multi-track sessions of songs in their raw state, on which to learn how to use the tools necessary to produce them. From time to time they will analyse also the different choices made by the producers.

In this Certification Program where you learn how to use 5 essential Digital Sound Processors

The course duration is 6 week, 1 lesson of 2 hours each week.
